By default, video previews start playing automatically while you going through the home screen on your Apple TV. - Open up the Settings app and then go to General.
- Next, select Accessibility > Motion.
- When you are on the Motion screen, select the option Auto-Play Video Previews to turn it off.

That’s it, now videos previews will not play unless you want to play it manually.
